Being+Counted is a platform designed to hold space for your story. We are committed to truth, accuracy and fairness, because we believe those ideals provide the most value for everyone.
Follow these guidelines to ensure we can all benefit from a useful and authentic space:
Be Factual: Your report and/or record should be truthful and constitute your own personal opinion and experience. Refrain from reporting on behalf of others or sharing rumors, second-hand accounts or hear say. We don’t take sides when it comes to factual disputes, so we expect you to stand behind and take full responsibility for your statements expressed in your content.
Stay on Topic: Your content should be related to experiences you have had since the onset of the Covid19 pandemic and resulting
No Spamming of any kind: Each individual is allowed one report, per record. If a user updates a report within a year, the older one will be replaced with the newer report. Any content meant as an advertisement or containing a web link will be removed.
Preserve Personal Privacy: Reports that name individuals should be limited to those in the highest positions in a company who have broad influence over the work environment. The report should also be limited to the individual’s behavior or performance at work. Individuals in this category include those who are the public face of the company (C-Suite, Executive Director, President, Owner, Founder, etc.)
We do not allow reviews that include negative comments about identifiable individuals outside of this group.
To safeguard privacy, we do not allow you to identify yourself or include any contact information (about yourself or others) in your posts.
Be Respectful: We will not allow reports that include certain profanities, threats of violence, or discriminatory language targeted at an individual or group. Any such comments will be immediate removed upon discovery and may result in deletion of your account and all associated reports/data.
We may allow reports that mention race, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation and the like if we believe the comment is used to describe a workplace situation. General discussions of workplace misconduct are allowed, including most discussions of illegal activities, discrimination, and sexual harassment.
No Confidential Information: We will remove any report that reveals confidential, non-public internal company information. We consider this to include: source code, customer lists, manufacturing techniques, R&D activities, budgets, detailed financial results and technical know-how.
Be Original: All reports should be original – no substantial quoted material from other sources, including (but not limited to) websites, e-mail correspondence, other reviews, etc.
